Ray Oliveira

"Sucra" Ray Oliveira (born October 6, 1968) in New Bedford, MA, USA[1] is a former professional boxer who plans on coming out of retirement in an attempt to gain his 50th career win. Oliveira is best known for co-holding CompuBox all-time records of 3,020 total punches thrown in his bout against Zack Padilla (22-1-1, 14 KOs) on December 16, 1993, and 463 total punches thrown in a single round, between Oliveira and Vince Phillips on December 22, 2000 with both records having been set at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Professional career

Oliveira endured a fifteen-year professional career in the ring, with notable victories over Vince Phillips and Vivian Harris. He had never been stopped prior to his defeat to Ricky Hatton in a WBU light welterweight title challenge in 2004.

He is 5 ft 11in tall.
